Finally, HAAPE provided seed funding ($25,000) for development of the 10-week Cybersecurity Academy for Autistic people. Once a student successfully completes the course, follow up includes finding full-time career employment for all graduates of the program. For the training of CNC operators, our investment activity actually slowed somewhat because of the difficulty in coordinating an appropriate and sustained teaching infrastructure with qualified instructors, as the process is necessarily slow. The overall course consists of 8 separate modules that focus on different subjects falling under the supply chain umbrella. Students can take each course at their own pace and at a remote location. Students must pass a test which is given at the end of each section. Those who pass any of the 8 courses receive their official certification and can then qualify for career opportunities. Since supply chains in the United States have been seriously disrupted by the Covid pandemic in 2020-21 and by the tariff negotiations in 2025, manufacturing and service-related companies are very interested in hiring these graduates.
