Given that NIH considers SCLC a recalcitrant disease, we believe SCLCs can easily be prioritized to be one of the first cancers to test 6TdG as these tumors do not have effective treatments currently. This phenomenon of high intra-tumor heterogeneity is particularly common in lung cancer. Despite us knowing about the heterogeneity, we currently have no mechanistic understanding of its impact on anti-tumor immunity.
