2024Warwick Savings FoundationNora Cronin Presentaton Academy Newburgh, NYD$10,000paidNora Cronin Presentation Academy serves girls living in poverty in the City of Newburgh. The primary improvement made with the most recent WSF grant was to implement the hiring of staff. This includes a part-time Physical Education teacher, as well as a part-time Music teacher for the Extended Day program, allowing for expansion of the arts program with music. Without grants and donations, it would not be possible to have the impact that Nora Cronin has had since its founding in 2006. This and previous grants from the Foundation have allowed NCPA to continue fulfilling its mission to help impoverished young girls reach their full potential and develop into productive, self-supporting citizens and community leaders. 2022Warwick Savings FoundationNora Cronin Presentation Academy Newburgh, NYC$10,000paidThe Foundation's support allowed NCPA to tie into the "Educate" application that is used by the Archdiocese of New York. A "per student" fee permits access to the system which assists the administration immensely. "Educate" streamlines attendance reporting, report cards, emergency notifications to parents, and allows parents to set up a user account to check their child's grades at any time. This funding also has had and will continue to have a direct impact on the educational experience of NCPA girls in the following ways: 1) for the Extended Day Program, NCPA was able to hire a physical education teacher; 2) a plan is in place to hire a part-time music teacher in the fall for the Extended Day Program; 3) the 8th Grade class was able to take an educational trip into New York City for a tour of the United Nations. Funding was also used for miscellaneous building/maintenance costs.202333109349101508
