POVERTY EDUCATORS WORK CLOSELY WITH STUDENTS ON A FINAL RESEARCH PROJECT AROUND ECONOMIC JUSTICE. WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPAND THIS MODEL TO UNC ASHEVILLE, PARTNERING WITH AN ECONOMICS OF FOOD COURSE THAT APPLIES A HUMANITIES LENS TO THE PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION OF FOOD ECONOMIES. THIS PROGRAM WILL BRING MULTIPLE POVERTY SCHOLARS TO ENGAGE WITH A SINGLE CLASS IN ORDER TO DEEPEN STUDENTS LEARNING AND TO STRATEGIZE IN COMMUNITY ABOUT LOCAL POVERTY AND SOCIAL WELFARE INITIATIVES. | 202232519349300133 |
